I ended up buying 25 Carvings for 1k, running that quest over and over was taking too long

Nah, this gives me just that little bit of extra motivation to go and play GW again. I've always preferred pre-searing anyway, this just adds one more excuse to play there - and an easy way for me to farm title points and profit more from visiting areas I used to do solely for fun. I've just about doubled my Sweet Tooth track on my main pre- character in the last week - I'm much happier farming junk for the collector every day than having to either farm like mad over holiday weekends or sit around AD1 trying to get good trade deals for alcohol, sweets, and party points.

good thing about the carving i had a stack i was gonna take to post the next one that goes across. the bad thing is i used them all well halloween and xmas more grinding. there were a few items i wishwed werent included and carvings and iris were two of those and when is it gonna be those pesky worn belts i got saved up in my pack and they ought to up the times skale fins get hit because you can get threee oor four every run to the guy i got a stack of both the belts and them
